Class Outline

** PLEASE NOTE NO FRIDAY 7TH HASLEMERE CLASS THIS WEEK - OFFERED INSTEAD ON THURSDAY 6TH JUNE *** Returning after our half term with a gentle observational pencil sketching class, we'll give you the flexibility to ease in gently or challenge yourself with something more tricky. We'll be using artist grade graphite pencils with blending tools and erasers. There will be lots of objects to choose from so you can make a straight forward study or a more complex composition using multiple items. You'll be shown how to get started on your composition and we'll make sure that you consider all the elements of drawing such as line, shape, tone and form. We'll demonstrate various ways of creating light and shade within your drawings and how to achieve contrast for maximum impact. You can challenge yourself as much as you like so this class is great for beginners or more experienced artists alike. As usual gentle guidance, materials and fresh coffee are included in the price.
