Class Outline

For a gentle re-start after summer we'll be easing in with some still life drawing. Biros are increasingly used now a days to produce contemporary drawings with a modern twist. They lend a lovely casual monochrome look and you'll have the flexibility to do a simple object or challenge yourself with something more tricky. We'll be using blue or black ink and various techniques to create our pictures. There will be lots of objects to choose from so you can make a straight forward study or a more complex composition. We'll demonstrate various ways of creating light and shade within your drawings and how to achieve contrast for maximum impact. You can challenge yourself as much as you like so this class is great for beginners or more experienced artists alike. Credit for image used to Emily Taylor.
