Class Outline

Working into graphite covered paper with a combination of erasers we'll put out shapes and lines and create images focusing on highlights rather than classic drawn lines. A twist on the traditional pencil sketch technique this is an interesting technique and very satisfying. There will be lots of objects to choose from so you can make a straight forward study or a more complex composition with multiple items. We'll make sure that you consider all the elements of drawing such as line, shape, tone and form. We'll demonstrate various ways of creating light and shade within your drawings and how to achieve contrast for maximum impact. You can challenge yourself as much as you like so this class is great for beginners or more experienced artists alike.
